Antigone im Amazonas

Staging: Milo Rau

Milo Rau's Orest in Mosul, the first part of his trilogy of antiquities, was presented back in 2019 and now the final part is coming to the Pfauen. Based on Sophocles' tragedy and in collaboration with the Landless Workers' Movement (MST), Antigone im Amazonas is an allegory about the enormous devastation caused by the modern state. "The audience did not spare a standing ovation." (nachtkritik about the premiere).
