Season opening 24/25 impressions
opening premiere
«MS YAMAMOTO IS STILL THERE» 12th September 2024
It was a very successful start into the 2024/25 season and it's great that so many of you were there! We opened the season on September 12 with the world premiere of MS. YAMAMOTO IS STILL THERE. Y by Dea Loher (directed by Jette Steckel) - with a sold-out house, good-humored people, an impressive production, outstanding actors, a thunderous final applause and yes, we now also have a new carpet in the foyer. THE NOTWIST also came and Acid Pauli played music for the premiere party ...
Many thanks to all the people involved, the artists and, last but not least, a big thank you to the audience for this warm first evening of theater!
Season Opening at the Pfauen «LASS UNS 'N WUNDER SEIN»
15th September 2024
On Sunday 15 September, we opened the season at the Pfauen with a big concert. The special thing about it: Ensemble members and Schauspielhaus employees performed together on stage at the concert. Beforehand, Artistic Director Ulrich Khuon welcomed the audience. In artist talks, dramaturges Yunus Ersoy and Bendix Fesefeldt, together with ensemble member Nancy Mensah-Offei, set the mood for the upcoming premieres: Set designer Muriel Gerstner spoke about WOMEN OF TRACHIS, dramaturge Alexandra Althoff about the VR production DOCTOR SPIELREIN and director Anne Lenk about KING LEAR. Afterwards, we invited guests to an aperitif in the foyer.
concert «LASS UNS 'N WUNDER SEIN»
For weeks on end, individual employees set off on musical rehearsals alongside their office hours. Their goal: to rehearse a special kind of concert for the start of the season. «Lass uns ‘n Wunder sein» was a theatre concert by everyone for everyone! A wildly diverse band of actors and theatre staff rocked the Pfauen and celebrated the moment. A stage manager on the flute, a stage manager in a duet with the press officer, the diversity officer in the spotlight, sponsorship officers and receptionists in the choir, an actor on bass ... Everyone came together for the concert. And the audience loved it. We will repeat the concert on 14 October. Save the date!
