Joseph de Weck

Joseph de Weck (* 1986 in Paris) is a Swiss historian, political scientist and author.
He completed a Bachelor's degree at the London School of Economics and a Master's degree at Sciences Po Paris and the University of St. Gallen. After graduating, de Weck worked as a Germany reporter for Bloomberg News until he moved to the EU department of the Swiss Foreign Ministry from 2013 to 2017, where he was responsible for the financial issues and Brexit dossiers. Since 2020, de Weck has headed the Europe department at Greenmantle, a geopolitical and macroeconomic risk consultancy. 
De Weck writes commentaries focussing on the EU, France and foreign policy for Die Welt, Foreign Policy and Republik (Switzerland), among others. He is a columnist for the International Politics Quarterly of the German Council on Foreign Relations.
