Alicia Aumüller

Alicia Aumüller, born 1983 in Salzburg, studied at the Zurich University of the Arts. After her training, she was engaged as a permanent ensemble member at the Neumarkt Theatre in 2008, then went to the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg from 2012 to 2019. She has worked with directors such as Barbara Weber, Christoph Schlingensief, Jette Steckel, Anne Lenk, Luk Perceval, Johann Simons, Jan Bosse, Stefan Pucher and the artist duo Tiit Ojasoo and Ene-Liis Semper. She has been an ensemble member of the Schauspielhaus Zürich since the 2019/2020 season. Here, she performs in productions by directors Nicolas Stemann, Yana Ross, Trajal Harrell and others. She will be awarded the "Golden Mask" in 2021 for her acting in the production of Yana Ross' Mein Jahr der Ruhe und Entspannung. In 2021 and 2022 she will be invited to Melpignano/Apulia as artist in residence. Together with Barbara Weber and Giacomo Veronesi she develops several site-specific performances for public space. In 2023 she will receive the Gertrud-Eysoldt-Ring together with her partner Patrycia Ziolkowska for her performance in Ödipus, Tyrann directed by Nicolas Stemann. Alicia Aumüller lives in Zurich with her son and husband.
