Age Recommendations

Since many of our productions are aimed at young audiences, we have provided them with age recommendations. For example: "also interesting for people over 14". Productions without an explicit age recommendation can of course also be attended by younger people. Productions that deal with difficult or heavy topics that may be unsuitable for younger people are provided with a trigger warning on the one hand and, sometimes, with an appropriate age recommendation. Example: "recommended for people aged 18 and over" or "not recommended for people under 18".

Trigger warnings

Aware that some topics may trigger negative feelings in some of you, may be disturbing and/or hurtful, we provide certain productions with so-called trigger warnings (cautionary notes) when we classify their content as sensitive. Triggers are stimuli that can re-trigger the original trauma in people who have had a traumatic experience. To prevent this, we provide content warnings here and on the specific play pages without giving away spoilers or anticipating the plot.

Sensory warnings

Our productions sometimes contain very loud noises, smoke, fog and/or strobe lights. This can lead to unpleasant (physical) reactions for some audience members and make the theatre experience more difficult, especially if they are not informed about it beforehand. Productions that contain (strong) sensory stimuli are provided with a sensory warning. Example: "This production contains smoke, fog and strobes".
