Stephanie Müller (born 1991) lives and works in Zurich. In 2024, she graduated from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Since 2018, she has been working as a freelance scenographer and as a visual arts teacher at various institutions.
In many of her works, Stephanie Müller explores spatial phenomena encountered in her daily life, placing them into narrative contexts across different media. Her work is characterized by a transdisciplinary interest and a creative engagement with materials and their distinct qualities.
As a scenographer, she collaborates with various collectives in theater, performance, and installation art at venues including the Schauspielhaus Zürich, Theater Gessnerallee, Tojo Theater Bern, Roxy Birsfelden, Bühne Aarau, and Theater Stadelhofen. She is a member of the collective pulp.ooo, with whom she realized the project "History of extinction – artists impression" and developed the production "wir sind dann mal weg" (we'll be going now) for young audiences at Theater Stadelhofen.
In 2025, she designed the stage and costumes for the play "Monopoly" by the Bühne Aarau ensemble. For Gessnerallee Zürich, she created two interactive spatial installations—"Stars Are Never Sleeping, Dead Ones and the Living" and "Belonging Space"—which served as inclusive retreat spaces during events. For the Junge Schauspielhaus Zürich, she is designing the overall stage and costume concept for HANS IM GLÜCK this season.
