The Schiffbau Bar is not a classic bar – it is a vibrant meeting place for theatre, music and urban life. A place with a bistro character, reminiscent of a bustling airport foyer: people come and go, wait for the theatre evening, meet up before a concert at Moods or simply drop in for a drink. In the legendary Schiffbau, at the heart of Zurich's cultural life, a special space full of movement, atmosphere and exchange is created.

Our bar team offers fine drinks, classic cocktails and individual recommendations. The open, lively architecture of the Schiffbau makes a visit a special experience – whether as a meeting place before a performance, a starting point for nightlife or a venue for special occasions.

OPENING HOURS
Thursday to Saturday: 5 p.m. to midnight
On performance days: open from 5 p.m. or at least 1 hour before the theatre opens

Whether it's a relaxed aperitif, a stylish dinner or a festive evening with a large group – at Schiffbau, we create events that are as unique as your guests. Our rooms offer flexible options for small and large groups and can be individually designed according to your ideas:

BAR & FOYER
Suitable for groups of 10 or more and can be expanded depending on the occasion – from individual, cosy lounges to exclusive rentals of the entire foyer for up to 300 people.

CANTEEN
Perfect for events for up to 50 people

CATERING & DESIGN
There are virtually no limits when it comes to cuisine. Whether you want an aperitif, buffet, multi-course menu, served or self-service – we organise different cuisines and concepts according to your taste and requirements.
