Audrey Merilus

Audrey Merilus is a Franco-Caribbean artist based in Brussels and Paris whose artistic practice focuses on performance and choreography. She studied at the Paris Regional Conservatoire and continued her training at the National Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Lyon. She subsequently obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Dance through the Training Cycle at P.A.R.T.S.

She has worked on various international productions and collaborated with artists including Gisèle Vienne, Soa Ratsifandrihana, Florentina Holzinger, Maud Le Pladec, Michiel Vandevelde and Rosas. Building on her artistic career, she has also developed a curatorial practice. As part of the tenth edition of Radiant Nights at DeSingel, she initiated the project “Collective Memories”, inviting several artists to present work across two evenings that combined performance, literature, visual arts, textiles, and sound.

More recently, she worked as a dramaturg on Stanley Ollivier’s 2025 play “Spine of Desire: Wounds Without Tears, Out of One Skin in Diamonds and Shit”. Having collaborated with Florentina Holzinger several times before, she is currently working with her again on a new project for the Venice Biennale at the Austrian Pavilion. Alongside her collaborative work, she is currently developing her first choreographic project, “Moved by the Memories of Affects” (working title). Since participating in Gisèle Vienne’s “Crowd” in 2026, she has continued to collaborate with the company, and will perform in their upcoming production ARCHIVES OF FEELINGS at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
