Sophie Demeyer studied at the CNSMD in Lyon, followed by the CNDC in Angers, from 2001 to 2006. She collaborated with Annie Vigier and Franck Apertet on several creations. As a performer, she collaborated with choreographers and stage directors including Mathilde Monnier, Thibaud Croisy, Julien Prévieux, Geisha Fontaine and Pierre Cotreau. As an actress, she worked with directors such as Damien Manivel, Lora Mure-Ravaud, Patric Chiha and Astrid Desrives. Her research focuses on extreme physicality, thereby often revealing a certain sincerity of gesture through exhaustion. In 2016, she joined Gisèle Vienne’s company for the production “Crowd”, participating in both its creation and tour, and subsequently continued her collaboration with the company as an assistant on the productions “L’Etang” and EXTRA LIFE.
In the 2026/27 season, she will perform in Gisèle Vienne’s ARCHIVES OF FEELINGS at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
