Jchj V Dussel studied Fine Arts, Writing and Performance at the Braunschweig University of Art and the Mimar Sinan Istanbul, as well as Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Jchj works as an author, performer and director, at municipal theatres and in the independent scene, alone and in collectives, on queerness, climate and class. Previous works include at Theater Osnabrück, Schauspiel Hannover, Maxim Gorki Theater, Junges Theater Heidelberg. In 2022, the text DARK ROOM revisited was invited to the Heidelberg Stückemarkt (Netzmarkt) and the text DREI FRAUEN was shortlisted for the Berliner Festspiele theatre meeting. In addition, the debut novel aus dem schlafenden Vulkan ausbrechen was published by Luftschacht Verlag. In 2023, Jchj wrote and produced the queer climate musical FAGGOT FOR FUTURE, which was awarded Best Feature Film and Best Editing by the Berlin Indie Film Festival under Jchj's direction. In 2024, Jchj wrote the stage adaptation of Kim de l'Horizon's Blutbuch for the Theater am Werk, Vienna. In 2025, Jchj's text MenschenversTand will be staged at the Staatstheater Nürnberg in a multi-author evening.
