
Lan Anh Pham studied scenography at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Riga from 2013 to 2018. She developed set designs for the music videos of DasMoped and Behave!, worked on camera and editing for web series and showed the interactive spatial installation RLQN at the Spieltriebe 8 theater festival. The performance Daydreams and Nightscreams with Br*otherIssues was also created there.
From 2020 to 2022 she was a stage design assistant at Schauspielhaus Bochum. During this time, she designed stage sets for projects such as Jeder Tag ein Vollmond with Gina Haller and Risto Kübra, Wer hat meinen Vater umgebracht (director: Mateusz Staniak) and Verbundensein (director: Robert Lehninger). Since 2023 she has been working as a freelancer at Theater Lübeck, Theater Heidelberg, Theater an der Parkaue Berlin and Schauspiel Dortmund, among others. She has a close and continuous collaboration with Babett Grube.
Works in the independent scene were created at Dampfzentrale Bern and Tanzhaus Zürich with the performance COSMIC ROOM (Moritz Sauer) and Theater am Werk Wien with Blutbuch (director: Paul Spittler).
In the 2025/26 season, she is developing the stage design for (WHAT YOU’LL FIND) ON THE WAY TO BECOMING (director: Ta-Nia). This will be the first time a work by Lan Anh Pham has been seen at Schauspielhaus Zürich.
