Michela Flück studied scenography and stage design at the Zurich University of the Arts and at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. From 2011 to 2013, she worked as a full-time stage design assistant at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. In 2014, she completed her studies with a Master of Arts degree from ZHdK. Since then, she has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer for theatre, dance, and opera productions, including at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Volksbühne and Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Münchner Kammerspiele, Schauspiel Köln, the Burgtheater in Vienna, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, and Tanzhaus Zürich. She has an ongoing collaboration with director Pınar Karabulut, which includes the production Like Lovers Do (Memoirs of Medusa) by Sivan Ben Yishai, invited to the 2022 Berliner Theatertreffen. Beginning with the 2025/2026 season, Michela Flück will take on the role of Head of Design at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
