Adrián Perea, born in 1997 in Madrid, studied playwriting and directing at RESAD and completed a Master’s degree in Screenwriting at the Universidad Carlos III. Since 2019, he has been a member of the company Mudanzas López, co-authoring several plays with Álvaro Nogales.

Perea is the author of works such as “Patrimonio cultural” (11th Programme for Contemporary Playwriting, INAEM) and “Observin aquests fills de puta” (finalist for the 2025 BBVA Theatre Award). He has received various distinctions for his work, including an award for “El reino de los cualquiera”. He was also recognised in the 28th edition of the same competition for “El leñador y la extranjera”. In 2020, he received a creative grant from the Community of Madrid for “Una y otra vez”, his first film screenplay. Together with Nogales, he has created productions including “Ahora que nos dejan hablar” (Corral de Comedias de Alcalá de Henares), “Los chicos de Baker-Miller” (Surge Madrid Festival), and “Las juventudes” (10th Playwrights’ Lab of the Fundación SGAE). Furthermore, he has adapted and translated musicals such as “Rent” at Teatro Fernán Gómez, and has taken part in residency programmes at various theatre institutions, including Sala Beckett and the Centro Dramático Nacional. He has also collaborated with the education department of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía on the performance “Generación Reina. Una adolescencia real”.

Together with Álvaro Nogales, he makes his Schauspielhaus Zürich debut with MAGIC KINGDOM.
