Sabine Waibel was born in Vienna. She was a permanent member of the Schauspiel Frankfurt and, under Armin Petras, of the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. She has been freelancing since 2014 and has performed at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Volksbühne Berlin, the Neumarkt Theater in Zurich, the Schauspiel Köln, and the Theater Basel, among others. She has worked with Jan Bosse, Stefan Bachmann, Frank Castorf, Pinar Karabulut, and Antú Romero Nunes. For her role as Christine in MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA, directed by Pinar Karabulut at the Volksbühne Berlin, she was nominated as Actress of the Year by Theater Heute magazine. She is now appearing for the first time in 3 SCHWESTERN at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
