Fiona Schreier (born in Basel in 1989) completed her master's degree in theatre directing at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in 2019. Her bachelor's degree project, Richard III, was invited to be part of the ZHdK's ‘Highlights’ in 2016. In 2015, she completed an exchange semester in ‘Scenic Writing’ at the Berlin University of the Arts.

Since graduating, Fiona Schreier has been working as a freelance author, director and dramaturge. Her texts have been premiered at the Theater Stadelhofen, the Winkelwiese Zurich and the Maschinenhaus Essen, among others. She writes for collectives such as wildi blaatere, mars travel agency and Goldtiger, as well as for film and radio plays. In 2020/21, she participated in the Dramenprozessor, in 2022 she was a scholarship holder at the Heidelberger Stückemarkt and co-author in the writers' room of the SRF series Tschugger. Her most recent works include Gefühle verschüttet (es tut mir Leid) (netzwerk wildi blaatere, Winkelwiese Zurich, May 2025), Ochsenhunger (Kollektiv Mäander, Fabriktheater Zurich, April 2025), Wer eine Jogginghose trägt, hat die Kontrolle über sein Leben verloren (Kollektiv Goldtiger, Kulturmarkt Zurich, September 2025) and Geisterstunde (vanderbolten Produktion, Theater Stadelhofen Zurich, January 2026). She lives and works in Zurich.
