Ali Napoé

Born in Togo, Ali Napoé has established himself as a versatile artist and mediator within the German-speaking theater landscape. Starting with the 2025/26 season, he joined the Junge Schauspielhaus Zürich, focusing on artistic mediation.

His career to date has taken him to venues such as E-Werk Freiburg, TheAkademie Berlin, as well as Künstlerhaus Mousonturm and Landungsbrücken in Frankfurt am Main. His work with Frankfurt’s theaterperipherie was particularly influential; his leading roles there received widespread acclaim, with the productions being honored for outstanding theater work as part of the Frankfurt children's and youth theater prize, Karfunkel.

In addition to his stage work, Napoé studied at Goethe University and the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. From the 2020/21 season, he was engaged at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, where he worked both in the "Mitmachen & Vermittlung" (Participation & Mediation) department and as an actor, musician, and artistic collaborator.

His profile combines artistic practice with social commitment. As a dramaturg, professional translator, and experienced networker, he has also led theater and drumming projects in schools, consistently bridging the gap between artistic excellence and cultural education.
