Claude Meier is a sought-after and busy electric and double bass player on the scene. He composes and arranges, writes music for numerous ensembles and bands, and plays concerts on tour in Switzerland, Europe, Japan, South Korea, etc. He brings his sound to theatre stages, clubs and concert halls. Claude Meier makes his basses vibrate and rejoice, whether the strings are thick as wire ropes or thin as spaghetti. The wood creaks, the melody groans and shimmers, it hammers, knocks and scrapes. Meier risks a thick bass. He has been performing in a trio with Ruedi Häusermann and Marko Käppeli since around 2016.
