Simisola Oke

Simisola Oke is a passionate artist with roots in dance and a growing presence in acting. She has been expressing herself through dance since childhood and discovered her love of acting early on by embodying roles in dance. Acting workshops in London deepened this approach and shaped her expression, even without classical training. As a dancer, she was part of the production A Seat At The Table (2022–2023), among others, and she also assisted with the theatre production Perspectives (2023), which deals with microaggressions against BIPOC. In addition to her artistic activities, Simisola works as a healthcare professional. This experience shapes her empathetic and mindful work with people and enriches her artistic expression. She is also involved as an organiser in the GVO collective, which hosts events for BIPOC at Café Revolution in Bern and creates safer spaces. She brings a sensitive, dreamy and humorous energy to her work, speaks fluent German, Swiss German, English and some French – and combines physical expressiveness with emotional depth.
