Sophie Lux works as a set and video designer, thereby creating work at the intersection of film, video design and theatre.
She has worked in theatres and opera houses across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, and has collaborated with various directors, including Bastian Kraft, Anna Bergmann, Martina Gredler and Alia Luque, as well as the British-Irish theatre duo Dead Centre. Regular artistic collaborations also connect Sophie Lux with director and dramaturge Stephan Müller. Her practice is defined by the interplay of spatial staging, cinematic aesthetics and live video.
Following the guest performance of “Der Zauberberg” in 2025, Sophie Lux joins a production at the Schauspielhaus Zürich for the first time with DER ZAUBERER VON OZ.
