Zooey Agro was born to a raver mom and country loving dad in Berlin in 1989. Until today, she equally loves a good dance and a good story.
After being in self organized bands from age 13, she studied jazz vocals in Hanover and did her masters in composition and arrangement in Berne.
She then moved back to Berlin, where she is currently in four bands, 13YC, rahel&zooey, tba tbc and Carebender. She uses samplers, keyboards and her voice. With her own bands and formerly as a keyboarder for the live formation backing Anika, she has toured most of Europe and North America.
As a composer and sound designer, she has worked at Schauspiel Dortmund, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Bürgerbühne Dresden, Rote Fabrik Zürich, Dampfzentrale Bern, Ballet National de Marseille and more. Together with a friend, she runs the label and concert series 'subsidized time', with four album releases and customized events a year in Berlin.
