Nicolas Fehr, born in 1989 in Frankfurt am Main, works at the intersection of music, performance, and visual art. He grew up in Connecticut, USA, and moved to Germany at the age of ten. Fehr studied Media Art, Scenography, and Fine Arts in Karlsruhe and Bremen, and in 2022 was awarded the prestigious Karl Schmidt-Rottluff Scholarship for Visual Arts.
As a composer and performer, he is active in various dance and theatre projects, including at the Volksbühne Berlin, Schauspielhaus Wien, and Deutsches Theater Göttingen. He regularly releases music under his own name, Nicolas Fehr, as well as with his bands ooi and Group Hug.
His expansive mixed-media installations have been shown at institutions such as Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Weserburg Bremen, and Brücke-Museum Berlin. Fehr lives and works in Berlin.
