Adèle Haenel began her career as a film actress in the 2000s, collaborating with a variety of artists and directors. Notably, she has worked with the Dardenne brothers and Céline Sciamma. Since 2018, she has worked closely with Gisèle Vienne in the performing arts.
She has notably appeared in the productions “L’Etang” and EXTRA LIFE. Her collaboration with Gisèle Vienne has led her to train in various forms of media, including music, dance, and writing. Since 2020, she has devoted more time to her work as an author, publishing short pieces in various publications. In 2025, she directed her first show, “Voir Clair avec Monique Wittig”.
Her debut book, titled “Viser juste”, is set to be published by Éditions de l’Arche in September 2026.
During the 2026/27 season, she will perform in Gisèle Vienne’s ARCHIVES OF FEELINGS at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
