Ayşe Güvendiren has made a name for herself as the author and director of numerous documentary theatre works. In her highly acclaimed diploma piece ‘R-Faktor. Das Unfassbare’ in 2021, she exposed structural racism in the arts and culture industry. Since then, she has directed productions at the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Staatstheater Dresden, among others. Her work is characterised by meticulous research and a clear political edge.
