Miriam Draxl lives and works in Vienna as a costume designer and stylist for theatre, opera, television and photography. She received her artistic training at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and ENSAG in Paris. Her artistic studies were preceded by a course in fashion and clothing technology at Herbststrasse Vienna.
In collaboration with director Johanna Wehner, she has worked on numerous productions such as ‘Faust I & II‘, ‘Joan of Arc’ and ‘The Haunted House’ at the Stadttheater Konstanz, ‘Medea’ at the Staatstheater Kassel, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ at the Staatstheater Nürnberg, as well as the world premiere of the opera ‘Schönerland‘ at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and ‘Alice in Wonderland’ at the Staatstheater Nürnberg. With Christina Tscharyiski, she realised, among other things, ‘Zur schönen Aussicht‘ at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, ‘Der Teufel mit den drei goldenen Haaren‘ at the Salzburg Festival, ‘Opernball‘ at the Rabenhoftheater Vienna and the world premieres of ‘Mascha K. (Tourist Status)‘ and ‘Spiel des Schwebens‘ at the Schauspiel Frankfurt.
