
Josefin Kwon works as a costume and set designer for theatre and film. She studied Theatre Studies at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and completed her costume design studies in 2019 at the Berlin University of the Arts under the guidance of Florence von Gerkan.
In recent years, she has collaborated with Charlotte Lorenz, Cmd+C, Klemens Hegen, Lea Moro, and Hannah Zufall at institutions such as Theater Aachen, Ballhaus Ost Berlin, Kunstverein Wagenhalle, Schauspiel Stuttgart, ITZ Tübingen, Schauspielhaus Wien, Tanzhaus Zürich, as well as on film and commercial productions in Augsburg, Berlin, Cologne, and Stuttgart.
Her work is particularly driven by an interest in pop-cultural aesthetics, feminist discourse, intercultural and representation issues within the German arts and culture scene, and the search for new narratives and perspectives through aesthetic expression. Most recently, in February 2025, she designed the set for the short film Das Haus des Vaters, directed by Johee Oh.
