Born in Austria in 1991, Sandra-Laura Axinte is a master tailor who worked at the Landestheater Niederösterreich from the 2014/15 season through 2024/25. During her tenure there, she gained extensive experience in the technical craftsmanship, implementation, and maintenance of costume designs within a professional theater environment.
In 2023, she graduated from the Fashion & Technology program at the University of Arts Linz. Her artistic practice focuses primarily on experimental material development, with a specific emphasis on bio-based materials derived from food and food waste. Her approach is characterized by interdisciplinary methods bridging the gap between art, design, and technology.
Since the 2025/26 season, she has been a permanent Assistant Costume Designer at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
