Dominika Široká studied theatre, film and media studies in Olomouc (Czechia) and Vienna. As a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service, she then completed a master's degree in theatre studies in Munich. She worked as a dramaturge at the Schauspiel Köln and the National Theatre Mannheim.
