
Belle Santos is an artist focusing on performance, installation and costume design. She collaborates (regularly) with directors Ran Chi Bar-zvi, Tilman Hecker, Nile Koetting, Elsa Sophie Jach, Samara Hersch, Leonie Böhm and Lucia Bihler at venues such as the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Schauspiel Hannover, Volkstheater Wien, Theater Bremen and the Volksbühne Berlin. From 2015 to 2022, she was part of the artistic direction of the immersive performance group ‘The Agency,’ whose work has been invited to the ‘Radikal Jung’ festival for young directors and the Athens Biennale, among others. She was responsible for the costume design for ‘2038’ in the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2021) and the feature film ‘Allegro Pastell’, which will be released in German cinemas in 2026. She was a scholarship holder at the Goethe Institute Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto, the Saison Foundation in Tokyo, and most recently received a 6-month artist scholarship at the Cité International des Arts in Paris.
