In the interim year 2024/25, Luisa Männel is Head of Communications & Marketing and a member of the extended board of directors at Schauspielhaus Zürich. From 2017 to 2023, she worked at Deutsches Theater Berlin (director Ulrich Khuon), was Head of Communications from 2020 to 2023 and was also the theatre's press spokesperson. Prior to this, she worked as a freelance communications consultant for various cultural institutions (including the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, Humboldt Forum Berlin and Bühnen Halle). Her professional career began in 2013 at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, where she was responsible for press and public relations from 2014 to 2016. She gained her first professional experience during her studies at the International Festival for Documentary and Animated Film DOK Leipzig, at the Goethe Institut Barcelona, at the Maxim Gorki Theatre, Centraltheater (Schauspielhaus Leipzig) and on numerous projects in the independent theatre scene. Luisa Männel studied at the University of Leipzig and at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona.
