Sabrina Tannen

Sabrina Tannen was born in Paderborn and grew up in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. After graduating from high school, her actual goal was to study neurology, but "chance" would have it otherwise and so she worked as an assistant director with Kriegenburg, Stemann and Pandur at the Thalia Theater Hamburg. Falling in love with the theater, she studied acting at the Mozarteum Salzburg and has been passionate about storytelling ever since. As a freelance actress, she moved from theater to theater, including at Schauspiel Bonn, Stadttheater Saarbrücken, Landestheater Linz, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and Maxim Gorki Theater, as well as her first forays into independent collaborations for Art Basel with Julia Geröcs. The spirit of research and the desire to be more than a function - drove Sabrina to the Limmat alongside her work as an actress. Here she studied for a master's degree in directing at the Zurich University of the Arts. She is passionate about dramatic material, loves getting to the bottom of things and finds nothing worse than reproducing. She is currently developing an artistic platform entitled "Stick Around" on the subject of youth suicide and is active in the independent scene with her collective Ernte Olafson.
