Thomas Wodianka, born in 1974 in Schrobenhausen, studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. He moved to Zurich for the first time in 2000 to join Christoph Marthaler's Schauspielhaus ensemble.
Here he worked with directors such as Meg Stuart, Falk Richter and Stefan Pucher and from 2004 as a freelance performance artist with Simone Aughterlony and others at Theaterhaus Gessnerallee.
Under the direction of Christoph Marthaler, he performed in Glaube Liebe Hoffnung at the Wiener Festwochen in 2012 and in Universe, Incomplete at the Ruhrtriennale in 2018.
In 2013, he became a member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, where he worked with directors such as Yael Ronen and Sebastian Baumgarten.From summer 2017, he returned to freelance work and has worked with Susanne Kennedy at the Volksbühne Berlin in Women In Trouble and Coming Society and with Amir Reza Koohestani at the Münchner Kammerspiele.Since his stage debut in Die Falschen Grenzen (Stadthalle Schrobenhausen, 1995), Thomas Wodianka has been searching for dissolution and is always joyfully aware of the limitations of his vision.
Studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik/Theater in Hamburg. 2000 member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
