I’M JUST HERE FOR THE KISSES

"As you make your bed, so you must lie in it." We’ve made ourselves perfectly cozy in our freshly changed, snow-white linens, wearing our fluffiest socks and dutifully sticking to our evening routines. But what happens when monsters start stirring under the bed, and even our favorite comfort show can’t bring us peace? What happens when falling asleep becomes harder and harder, and getting up becomes an agonizing struggle?

In I’M JUST HERE FOR THE KISSES, we confront the uncomfortable questions of powerlessness and responsibility, individualism and community, upbringing and happiness—delving into our nightmares if we must.

For nearly an entire season, the participants of the Theaterjahr 2025/26 have been gaining artistic and organizational experience across various departments of the Schauspielhaus. As the crowning finale of their time with us, they are now presenting their collaborative graduation project.
