A READING IN TWO PARTS

READ BY: Zeynep Bozbay and Rahel Hubacher

Reading for International Women's Day

PFAUEN

To celebrate her 45th birthday, an artist—feeling trapped in the routine of being a wife and mother—embarks on a quest for self-discovery: a solo road trip from Los Angeles to New York. However, just 20 minutes into her journey, she finds herself stranded in an L.A. suburb. What follows is a humorous, eccentric, and deeply poignant exploration of shame and shamelessness.

In honor of International Women’s Day (March 8th), ensemble members Zeynep Bozbay and Rahel Hubacher will read from the celebrated novel by American author and artist Miranda July. This work explores menopause and the female midlife crisis like no other, transforming them into a powerful search for feminist liberation.

Part One: March 8th
Part Two: The journey continues with a second reading on March 15th.

The two parts can also be attended independently of each other.

NOTE
On March 8, the reading will be preceded by a crash course for everyone aspiring to become feminists! Because one becomes a feminist through practice. Workshop Leaders: Meloe Gennai & Rafael Sanchez. → WIE ICH EIN FEMINISTISCHER MANN WERDE

CONTENT NOTE
The reading deals with suicide and foetal-maternal haemorrhaging.
