After The Lord of the Rings™ by J.R.R. Tolkien
An accessible installation of Theater HORA, Das Helmi Puppentheater and Schauspielhaus Zürich
Staging: Nicolas Stemann, Stephan Stock, Florian Loycke & Der Cora Frost
- 50% Community
- 50% Waldeinsamkeit
- 100% Hero’s Journey
Nature conquers the Schiffbau! Plants and talking trees grow in the Halle and offer a peaceful home to the Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, Wizards, Humans and Orcs from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings™. But the peace is deceptive: a ring has long been in the world to „rule „them all […] and in the darkness bind them“.
Across all differences, the heroes of Theater HORA, Helmi and the Schauspielhaus Zürich form a community to destroy the ring in the flames of Mount Doom in Mordor. They set out to destroy evil and leave good behind. For no one in this community is simply evil, and no one is simply good. This becomes clear when they meet each other to celebrate feasts with lots of music and fight battles with lots of pathos.
Important notice: This is an accessible production. There will be plenty of seating options, but tickets do not guarantee a fixed seat. We invite you to discover the production by walking along your own paths - and to take a seat every now and then.
