The Schiffbau Bar is no ordinary bar; it is a lively meeting place where theatre, music and urban life converge. It has the charming atmosphere of a bistro and the bustling energy of an airport foyer: some people come and go, some wait for the theatre show to start, some meet up before a concert at Moods, and some simply drop in for a drink. In the legendary Schiffbau, at the heart of Zurich’s cultural life, a special space full of movement, ambience and interaction has been created.

Our bar team offers a selection of fine drinks and classic cocktails, as well as personalised recommendations. The open architecture of the Schiffbau turns a visit into a special experience, whether you’re meeting friends before a show, starting your night out, or celebrating a special occasion.


OPENING HOURS
Thursday to Saturday: 5pm – 12 midnight
On performance days: open from 5pm or at least one hour before the doors to the auditorium open.

From relaxed aperitifs to sophisticated dinners and festive evenings with large groups, we create events at the Schiffbau that are as unique as your guests. Our flexible spaces can be designed according to your ideas for small and large groups.


BAR & FOYER
Suitable for groups of 10 people or more and can be expanded depending on the occasion, ranging from cosy, individual lounges to exclusive rentals of the entire foyer for up to 300 people.


CANTEEN
Perfect for events with up to 50 guests.

The possibilities are endless. Whatever you prefer – drinks and appetisers, a buffet, a multi-course meal, table service or self-service – we can cater for a variety of cuisines, tastes and requirements.
