While her parents are dissolving the household of the deceased, the eight-year-old girl explores the house and the forest behind it, where her mother grew up and used to play as a child. On her wanderings she meets a girl of the same age who is building a hut out of branches. It looks exactly like her and bears the same name as Nelly's mother...
