Frances Chiaverini

Frances Chiaverini, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a Performer, Activist, Choreographer. She was a member of The Forsythe Company in its final seasons, she has worked with Adam Linder in the US and UK, and was a choreographic consultant for Anne Imhof for works at The Venice Biennale, Buchholz Gallerie, MoMa PS. 1, Pompidou, Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, Art Basel, and La Biennale de Montréal. In 2019/20 she is a Resident Fellow at NYU’s Center for Ballet and the Arts. While a 2016-18 Fellow at Pact Zollverein Choreographic Center and with writer Robyn Doty, she co-founded Whistle While You Work, a public interface for calling out sexism, discrimination, and abuse at work in dance and performance-related fields. Currently Frances is appearing in new works with and by Luisa Saraiva and Trajal Harrell who invited her to join the Schauspielhaus Zurich to be engaged for the first time in her life by a municipal theatre.
