DESCRIPTION:No sooner have Matteo and his father Aldo reached their destina
 tion than the village transforms into an eerie hinterland. The second part
  of Kay Matter's brand-new theatre series leads the two protagonists strai
 ght into the oppressive arms of the ‘nuns’\, the gossip-addicted quasi-gra
 ndmothers. It's a good thing that at least Ernesto\, the blind Chihuahua\,
  never leaves Matteo's side. While Aldo tries to sell the Fiat\, Matteo\, 
 pale with hunger for meat and men\, takes to the streets.\n\nBetween bath 
 foam and blood\, between days and nights full of transformations\, the vil
 lage turns out to be a place where customs are displayed during the day an
 d disappear into the small village pub at night. All this is repeatedly in
 terrupted by the incessant ‘ping’ of gay dating apps. In this breathless r
 hythm\, the ‘in-between’ is transformed into a space of encounter where\, 
 in the shadow of Catholicism\, one learns the language of flirtation\, dra
 g and desire. And in the small family that emerges in the ‘in-between’\, t
 he fear of change mixes with the fear of being abandoned. It tips over int
 o accusations... while the monster lurks.\n\nKay Matter's work on STÜTZLIW
