The Directors Talk
About Season 23/24

The 23/24 season of the Schauspielhaus Zürich will be special. Not only because it is the last season of Nicolas Stemann's and Benjamin von Blomberg's directorship, but also because the eight house directors are all returning to the theatre once again to work on new productions. You can look forward to adaptations of classics such as Das Leben des Galilei or Biedermann und die Brandstifer directed by Nicolas Stemann, Die Möwe by Christopher Rüping or Tempest and Carmen by Wu Tsang and Moved by the Motion. Also premieres of Blutstück, based on the novel Blutbuch by Kim de l'Horizon, in a production by Leonie Böhm, Liebes Arschloch by Virginie Despentes, adapted by Yana Ross or jetzt, jetzt, jetzt by Suna Gürler. Also on the schedule: the premiere of Tambourines by Trajal Harrell and the Schauspielhaus Zürich Dance Ensemble, the German premiere of Moise und die Welt der Vernunft by Alexander Giesche, the Swiss premiere of Der Junge aus der letzten Reihe staged by Christiane Jatahy and much more. New faces, old acquaintances: all this and more can be expected in the upcoming season. We'll see you from 8 September!
